Projects

Every room tells the same story.

What we found, what we built, and what it became. Where a before and after were taken from the same spot, drag the line to compare; open any photo to see the detail.

01 / 04Bathrooms

A primary bath, reimagined

A jetted tub and an oak vanity gave way to a walk-in shower, a navy double vanity and lit tile, all laid out to a laser line.

  1. 01 · Before

Floral border paper, an oak vanity with cultured-marble tops, and a jetted tub that filled a corner and rarely got used.

  2. 02 · The work

The room went back to the framing. Tile was set to a laser line, a full-width lit niche was built into the shower wall, and a tiled bench and grab bar went in before the glass.

  3. 03 · After

A walk-in shower with rain heads and a hex-mosaic floor, a navy double vanity under quartz, and finishes that will still look right in twenty years.

02 / 04Kitchens

A skylit kitchen, opened up

Oak cabinets and yellow walls became white shaker cabinetry, quartz, and a long dark island under the original skylights.

  1. 01 · Before

Honey oak cabinets, peeling soffits, worn tile and a dated oven wall, in a room with beautiful light and a layout that wasted it.

  2. 02 · The work

New shaker cabinetry up to the ceiling with lit glass uppers, quartz counters, a stone slab behind a pro-style range, wood-look plank floors, and a linear pendant over a long island.

  3. 03 · After

One bright room from the cooking wall to the window wall, with storage everywhere and the skylights finally doing their job.

03 / 04Bathrooms

Stone-look showers, lit from within

Large-format marble-look tile, hand-mitred corners, frameless glass and niches lit with LED.

  1. 01 · Before

Behind every good shower is work nobody sees. These walls were opened to the studs before any tile went up.

  2. 02 · The work

Blocking and rough-in set before the walls closed, outside corners mitred by hand, and niches framed and lit before the stone-look tile was set.

  3. 03 · After

Frameless glass, herringbone and pebble floors, rain heads, and niches that glow at night.

04 / 04Bathrooms

A guest bath with warmth

Twin vessel sinks on granite, a pebble shower floor and a plank door, under a sloped ceiling.

  1. 01 · Before

A tight room under a sloped roofline: the kind of space that is easy to get wrong.

  2. 02 · The work

Gray stone-look tile run up the walls, a frameless glass shower with a pebble floor, a furniture-style vanity with twin vessel sinks, and a plank door with matching casing.

  3. 03 · After

A guest bath with character: natural textures, warm wood, and soft light from the sconces.
